Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles presents Monika Sosnowska

July 1, 2017

September 17, 2017

901 E 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90013

Event Description

Exploring the poetics and politics of space, Monika Sosnowska makes sculptures that conjoin architecture and environment, often drawing from the complex and storied terrain of her home, Warsaw, Poland. Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles is pleased to present Sosnowska’s first exhibition in LA, which will feature a new body of work that reinterprets and responds to Poland’s 1960s and ‘70s modernist, populist architecture, creating dynamic forms wrought from steel and concrete. This show follows the artist’s monographic US museum exhibition inaugurating The Contemporary Austin’s expansion last year.
